Abstract

|
|
A case of female hermaphroditism with virilization is presented with a brief review of the concerned literatures. The patient had an enlarged clitoris and was noted the absence of breast development. On exploratory laparotomy, the uterus was small with polycystic enlargenent of the both ovaries to the double thumb sized and its surface was noticed to be smooth, thickened, and gray-white in color. Wedge resection of both ovaries and reconstruction of external genitalia were made.
